I don’t care if we get a republican, democrat, or independent as our next president. We’ve been betrayed morally, ethically, and fiscally by both of the “ruling parties”.

I will vote for a candidate that runs on accountability. Here are a few of the things I believe constitute an acceptable candidate.

Send William Jeffers to jail for being a dishonest scumbag. Do not reelect Nancy Pelose JUST because she posted him to a homeland security committe KNOWING he’s a dishonest scumbag.

Clarify and properly criminalize illegal immigration by holding everyone involved accountable from the employee to the employer to any law enforcement agent that ignores blatant illegal employment.

Pass term limitations for ALL elected public servants to get rid of those who use their longevity to garner influence no one should have.

Begin a system of national referendums to deal with issues of constitutionality. Let America decide what is good and right for Americans.

De-politicize the judicial branch of government. Justice should be about justice and not a partisan wrestling match.

Abolish the electoral college and count every vote for candidates chosen by and for each individual.

Give the president line item veto for legislation that includes clear and proveable unrelated spending authorizations.

Use the aforementioned referendums to settle line item veto challenges from congress when a reasonable number of congressman vote against them.

Eliminate “hate crimes”. A crime is a crime is a crime and everyone who commits a crime should be treated the same regardless of why they committed a particular crime. Equal justice under the law!

Decriminalize low impact drugs like Marijuana to empty our prisons of nonviolent offenders. Let personal morals determine what perceived public morality is dictating now. Alcohol attacks every organ in the body and drinkers kill maim molest and steal more than any other demographic group. Tobacco kills tens of thousands of people every year yet we continue to focus our “war on drugs” on things like Marijuana SOLELY based on moral arguments that should not be decided by politicians.

America needs to take back the freedoms we let our parents give away. Get the government out of the bedroom.

Keep the government out of our everyday lives beyond the protect and serve motto of our law enforcement personnel.

End the injustice of crimes that are not crimes and punish the real criminals.

    Wow,
Military man has brains. Isn’t it refreshing to have someone go to the heart of the issues and not jump into a political camp? All of your ideas fall under one umbrealla - honor and character; that is what has made our country great. I pray that there is someone out there in our politcal morass that will make a difference through character and standing for what is right.

I am a Master Sergeant in the Air Force. I have lived in Maine, New York, Illinois, Colorado, California, and Texas. I spent 8 years stationed in Germany and visited 35 different countries. I saw human road kill in Nigeria and real poverty in Poland. I’ve seen beautiful cities throughout Europe and Filth-ridden hovels in the middle east and Asia.

I understand how good we have it in America and I wish more people could see the world and gain that same understanding. We have the highest standard of living and the greatest degree of personal freedom anywhere.

Our system is supposed to ensure equality and justice for all but we are sliding toward a state where our most basic beliefs are subjected to a polital-correctness filter and criminalized. We are losing our appreciation for real justice by allowing our leaders to be self-serving and corrupt. We need to stand up and make some noise until they hear what we are shouting and start to act in an honorable fashion.

It is long past time we stopped playing partisan games and united to redeem what we have lost. I am not religious. I am not conservative or liberal. I share elements of both. I am an individual and I will vote and act like one. I desperately want to hear a politician echo at least some of the sentiments I posted above.
