This Article is found on the National Defense Blog Page. The argument is made that we are clueless when it comes to Middle East politics. Our ignorance makes enemies out of people we could have as allies, and breeds hatred of us when we call corrupt and dictatorial governments our friends. There are enemies and friends in the Shiite and Sunni communities. We need to figure out where our friends lie and help them rise up to stop the silient regional civil war brewing in the Middle East.
